Learn about unique features that can distinguish various Pacific Northwest fish and invertebrates. This online web chat will be in the format of a game where a close-up of one feature of a critter is shown and viewers can guess what critter they think it is from. ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME.

Even if you don't know ANY of the species this will be a great way for you to learn about what features you can clue in on to help you identify the species.

Refresher for PNW REEF Surveyors and More

Has it been awhile since your last survey? Or maybe you’re just curious about REEF’s Volunteer Fish Survey Project and want to know how it works?

Join REEF Volunteer Expert Jackie Myers on a special Zoom session, Thursday, November 14 at 6:30pm for a mini-review of South Puget Sound fish and invertebrates including a brief tutorial on how to enter survey results in the REEF database.

Everyone is welcome, whether new or experienced.

When diverse experiences are brought together and amplified, they become a movement, a force for change. You are invited to be a part of this movement and join the conversation, as we share and learn together about the importance of listening, understanding, and amplifying the voices and experiences of equity-deserving groups in marine conservation.

Join REEF Director of Conservation Science Dr. Alli Candelmo for an exciting update on current REEF research projects, including Grouper Spotter and SMILE (Size Matters: Innovative Length Estimate).
