Participate in a a nationwide fish survey as part of the REEF Great Annual Fish Count. First learn to identify the top 20 fish you might find at Bathtub Beach Reef. Then, in the afternoon, we go out as a group with snorkel, mask and fins and count these fish.
The Florida Oceanographic Society (FOS) REEF Field Station is again hosting their GAFC event on July 18, 2014 at Bathtub Reef in Stuart, Florida. At 10 am we will conduct a Fish ID course of the Top 25 fish found at Bathtub Reef at the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center (890 NE Ocean Blvd. Stuart, FL 34996). Instruction will be provided by REEF instructor Lureen Ferretti. Following the course, we will then head down to Bathtub Beach (1585 SE MacArthur Blvd.
The REEF Field Station at the Florida Oceanographic Society is hosting a fish ID course in preparation for their Great Annual Fish Count survey at Bathtub Reef in Stuart, FL. The top 50 fish seen at Bathtub Reef will be covered by REEF instructor Lureen Furetti. FOS' GAFC survey dates are on July 19 and 23, with a potential backup date (TBD) in case of inclement weather.
