Tobago's unique location in the southern Caribbean results in rich biodiversity. Outflow from the Orinoco River in Venezuela feeds this area with an abundance of nutrients, which in turn attracts lots of fish.
Join REEF and the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center to learn all about seabirds and their interconnectivity within marine ecosystems! We will cover topics such as seabird adaptations, conservation, and the connection between fish populations and seabirds.This event will kick off with a social from 6:15pm to 7:00pm, featuring drinks and snacks. At 7:00pm we will have an engaging presentation followed by a fun trivia game. Hope to see you there!

Jim's work focuses on long-spined sea urchins and their potential to rejuvenate coral habitats. He will discuss his work, including holistic approaches that include all life found on coral reef ecosystems and emphasizing the symbiotic relationships between organisms.
REEF's 15th annual Florida Keys Lionfish Derby will culminate Sunday August 18, 2024 at the lionfish weigh-in and awards at the REEF campus.
