Join REEF and Olympus Dive Center in hosting a fish identification and surveying workshop in North Carolina! This is a fun way to get in the water, learn new things, and help gather data on our marine ecosystems.

REEF will be teaching an identification class on the most common fish seen in the South Atlantic States (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia) on the evening of August 5th, followed by a fish survey dive on the morning of August 6th. This is a great opportunity to learn about the coastal fishes of North Carolina and to participate in citizen science and marine conservation. No prior experience is necessary!

Fish Identification Class: August 5 at 6pm at the Big Rock Theatre, North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, 1 Roosevelt Blvd, Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512. Free!

Survey Dive: August 6, check-in at 7am at Olympus Dive Center, 713 Shepard St, Morehead City, NC 28557. Price for dive is $185/diver. Survey supplies will be provided. Call Olympus Dive Center at (252) 726-9432 to book dives.

Optional informal post-dive meet-up at Tight Lines Pub & Brewing Company. 709 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557.
