In-person Discovery Programs
We offer a variety of in-person programming, held at the main campus at REEF or off-site if requested. Programs and activities are designed to appeal to all levels of marine enthusiasts. Schools, scouts, universities, dive clubs, and travel groups are invited to learn through hands-on, experiential education and make a difference through volunteering. While our programs focus on marine science, we also incorporate environmental studies and cultural and natural history to give groups a comprehensive educational experience.
We tailor each program to the group's interests, age or grade level, and time availability. Sessions can include content from one or more areas of study. Visit our Program Topics page for more information on the variety of topics your group can learn about.
We can also add in-field activities to your Explorers Discovery Program. If you wish to combine a Discovery Program with an activity such as snorkeling, kayaking or diving, check out our Expedition Page.
Virtual Discovery Programs
If you cannot join us in person, let's meet online! We offer options for virtual programming via live webinars. Virtual Discovery Programs are similar to the in-person programs offered in Key Largo, but with one difference -- you can attend from anywhere, even the comfort of your own home. Sessions include online interactive presentations and virtual activities so that participants can build connections with the ocean regardless of zip code.
We tailor your program according to your group's interests, age or grade level, and time availability. Topics covered can include content from one or more of REEF's core areas of study. More information on these topics can be found on our Program Topics page.
Virtual Discovery Programs will be held on a virtual meeting platform selected by REEF Education Staff before the program date.
