Dive into creativity and discovery with REEF at the second annual Arts & Science Festival! This family-friendly event will feature numerous local artists and environmental organizations sharing hands-on activities. The Arts & Science Festival aims to engage our community and show how arts can connect the public to science and conservation. There will be interactive displays, activities, and booths to attract and engage audiences with science, conservation, and the environment. Along with educational games and activities, REEF will provide hands-on art activities for all attendees. The REEF Arts & Science Festival is free and open to all ages!

Why Arts & Science?
REEF is working with the Florida Keys Council of the Arts, the State of Florida, the Department of State, the Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and private donations to provide educational programming, workshops, and events aligning with our Arts & Science Initiatives. Combining arts and science enriches both fields, fostering imagination and creativity. Artistic expression in any form stimulates creativity, which is essential for scientific innovation. Likewise, science and conservation can inspire new artistic techniques and perspectives.
The arts can communicate complex scientific concepts in accessible and engaging ways, making science and conservation more relatable and understandable to all. Diversity is one of nature's greatest strengths, and it should be ours as well. Integrating the two fields provides opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds and skills to contribute to ocean conservation, fostering inclusivity and diversity in our community.
