Fishy Game Night - Kahoot!

Enjoy playing Tropical Western Atlantic region fish-themed games with your fellow REEF fish geeks.

For tonight's session we're playing with a game platform called Kahoot! Kahoot is a trivia-like game where you’ll be able to try your hand at answering multiple choice questions on marine conservation and ocean facts as well as some Tropical Western Atlantic Fish ID questions.

You will still log into the session with Zoom as usual, but then to play the game, you'll also want a tablet or cell phone handy.

California Dry Diving

Learn and practice your fish ID without even getting wet! You'll be watching instructor-led video clips of common California fish.

Fish Face-to-Face

Casual, fun time to check in face-to-face and say hi to your fellow REEF friends, and a chance to meet new ones. We'll have structured breakout rooms, maybe a game, and topics to discuss.

You'll want a working webcam for this one if at all possible. (phone, tablet or computer with camera all work well)

TWA Region Fish Jeopardy Game

Hang out with your fellow fish geeks as we play a Jeopardy-style game about fish found in the Tropical Western Atlantic region. Host Christy Semmens is good for a story or two and a fun running commentary.

Grouper Moon Jeopardy Game

Love Nassau Groupers? Want to learn more about research on spawning aggregations and hear stories of field work mishaps? Join us for a fun round of Jeopardy-style questions - feel free to participate as you like, or just sit back and watch! Questions will revolve around the Grouper Moon Project.
