The Philippines -- an exciting new adventure for REEF travelers! Join us for our inaugural trip to explore this diverse region of the Central Indo-Pacific. We have two weeks of adventure - by land, based at the Atlantis Resort in Dumaguete, April 9-16, and then by sea, aboard the Atlantis Azores Liveaboard, April 16-23.

Expand your knowledge of fish ID and behavior at this lovely seaside resort in the heart of beautiful St. Lucia. The entire region is a protected marine area and excellent beach diving is available directly in front of the resort. This is sure to be a great week of diving and a relaxing break during the hectic holiday season!

Join REEF for our first field survey to Catalina Island, 22 miles off the Southern California Coast. After taking a ferry across the channel, we will spend 3 days diving in typically clear waters and beautiful kelp forests. You will be led by REEF’s Outreach Coordinator, Janna Nichols, an expert in rocky reef fauna. This beautiful sub-tropical destination is also great for your non-diving companions.

This is the third annual project to Curacao to document the establishment and consequences of invasive lionfish as part of REEF's ongoing effort to minimize the Indo-Pacific predator's impact on native fish populations. Participants will have an opportunity to be trained in lionfish collection and dissections of specimens to document prey.

Home to eight of the most species-rich sites in REEF’s Caribbean database, the reefs of Bonaire are legendary among underwater naturalists. This is a perfect trip for the beginner or experienced surveyor alike. Marine biologists, Drs. Brice and Christy Semmens, will be your guides on what is sure to be a great week.

Join REEF Co-Founder and renowned underwater photographer and author, Paul Humann, for a week in beautiful Grand Turk. This trip is designed for divers and snorkelers who are interested in learning more about marine life and the environment to enhance their diving experiences. Paul will give presentations about reef fish and creature identification and behavior.

Ned and Anna DeLoach will delight trip participants with amazing pictures, videos, and stories, covering fish ID and behavior. The group will also search for many of the fish species restricted to this region, such as the Filament Blenny, Bearded Toadfish, and Kuna Goby. This is sure to be a great week of diving and camaraderie.

A great trip for beginners and experienced surveyors alike, and a perfect destination for your non-diving companions. We will be diving with Wall to Wall Diving, an operation with a great reputation among REEF surveyors. REEF Expert and Fishinar Instructor, Jonathan Lavan, will teach daily seminars using many of his own award-winning underwater photographs.
