At just 10 square miles, Little Cayman remains true to what a Caribbean Island should be. The Island was mostly uninhabited and rarely visited until the mid-19th century and to this day continues to have limited development. With three marine protected areas, home to the world's largest spawning aggregation of Nassau Grouper, and an international shark sanctuary, fish life is prolific. With an average visibility of 80-100 feet, an average temperature in the low 80s, and generally little to no current, the Island offers some of the best conditions for diving, and some of the best dive sites in the Cayman Islands. See some of the local endemic species including the Cayman Cleaning goby (Elacatinus cayman).

Project Focus: The purpose of this trip is to conduct fish surveys to support REEF's Volunteer Fish Survey Project. Click here to learn more about participating in fish surveys on a REEF Field Survey Trip!
