This is a REEF GAFC: Great Annual Fish Count survey dive at Tommy's / Carrying Cove. This dive site is an easy entry, low current site, great for new divers as well as those with more experience.
This will be the 12th year for the event, and we consistantly have the largest single-day fish count in the country! Dives will be conducted all over New England in the morning, then divers will meet at Stage Fort Park for a BBQ, raffle prizes and to tally the survey numbers.
The REEF Field Station at the Florida Oceanographic Society is hosting a fish ID course in preparation for their Great Annual Fish Count survey at Bathtub Reef in Stuart, FL. The top 50 fish seen at Bathtub Reef will be covered by REEF instructor Lureen Furetti.
