Free Fish ID course and Fish Count Dive
Learn to identify & count fish Biscayne National Park
Learn the names of South Florida's reef fish at a FREE fish ID seminar led by Biscayne National Park biologists and REEF staff. Also learn how to conduct REEF fish surveys during any future dive/ snorkel trip. The free seminar will be held at Biscayne National Park's Dante Fascell Visitor Center auditorium from 08:00 11:00 AM. Commencing at 12:00 PM, the afternoon will be dedicated to putting your new fish identification skills to use during a reduced-price dive/snorkel trip to two of the parks coral reefs. Participants should expect to return to the dock before 5 p.m. The park is located at 9700 SW 328th St. Homestead, FL. e for the 2-tank dive trip is $65.00(plus tax) per person (weights & tanks included). The price for snorkeling is $23.75 (plus tax) per person (mask, fins, snorkel included). An underwater fish ID guide and slate will be on sale from REEF for an additional $10.00. All other gear must be provided by the participant or rented.
