Scott is the manager of hyperbaric medicine at Mariners Hospital and will be sharing some insights from his profession. Though most divers are at least somewhat familiar with recompression chambers through dive education and scuba magazines, very few understand how they work. Even less know what happens when they arrive at a hyperbaric chamber facility for treatment. Join Scott for a journey from dive incident through symptom resolution to learn what really happens behind the scenes when an injured diver receives recompression therapy.
REEF Fish & Friends is a free, monthly seminar series that features engaging ocean-themed presentations from guest speakers. Snorkelers, divers, and marine life enthusiasts are invited to join informal discussions and mingle with members of our friendly, ocean-minded community. Complimentary appetizers and refreshments are provided. The evening kicks off with a social starting at 6:15pm, and the presentation begins at 7pm.
