Sheer walls like Painted Wall, Half Moon Caye Wall, and Quebrada are adorned with huge crimson gorgonians and wandering, lilac rope sponges.

Belize Travel Info
Insurance: Travel insurance is not included. REEF strongly recommends that each participant purchase adequate dive travel insurance to protect you from unforeseen circumstances. REEF partners with both DiveAssure and DAN to offer travel insurance packages specifically for divers. REEF will receive a portion of the proceeds from travel insurance purchases when you click on the following affiliate links for DiveAssure or DAN.
How to Get There: Participants should book round-trip flights to Belize City (BZE) arriving on Saturday, January 21, and departing on the following Saturday, January 28. Participants are responsible for booking their own airfare. REEF is not able to book air travel for participants. Visitors to Belize must have a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the period of your stay, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket.
Transfers: The Belize Aggressor IV embarks/disembarks at the Radisson Fort George Hotel dock. Guests arriving in Belize on January 21 will be greeted at the airport by a uniformed Aggressor crew member, who will have a "Belize Aggressor" sign when guests exit the airport. There are two complimentary transfers provided by the Belize Aggressor IV from the airport to Belize City at approximately 12 pm and 4:30 pm, which may vary depending on flight times. Due to several flights arriving around the same time, the van will wait for all guests to arrive before departing the airport. Guests may have to wait up to one hour for the shuttle, however, there is an airport lounge with free Wi-Fi. If you prefer not to wait, you may take a taxi (approximately $25) to the Radisson Fort George Hotel and wait there until boarding time, beginning at 3 pm. Those who arrive in Belize prior to January 21 should make their way to the Radisson Fort George Hotel arriving by 3 pm on January 21. All guests must be on board by 6 pm. At the end of the week, there will be two complimentary shuttles to the airport at approximately 8 am and 12 pm on January 28. Guests departing earlier or later may take a taxi from the Radisson Fort George Hotel.
Passports, Documentation, and Visas: Visitors to Belize must possess a passport valid for at least three months after the date of arrival and a return ticket with sufficient funds to cover their stay. Visitors are given a one-month stay, after which an extension can be applied for with the Immigration Department. Visas are not required for citizens of the United States and its territories, Canada, United Kingdom and its territories, European Union, Caribbean, and Central American countries.
COVID-19 Considerations: It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that they understand and comply with all local requirements (for entry and visit as a tourist) of the host destination, and for exit and entry requirements for their home country. Be prepared for your plans to change. Be sure your travel insurance covers COVID-related issues. No travel is risk-free during the COVID-19 pandemic. Countries may further restrict travel or bring in new rules at short notice, for example, due to a new COVID-19 variant. Please be aware that REEF is not a travel agent. We are doing our best to interpret the information provided by our trip vendor and the host country’s government COVID-19 webpages. We encourage everyone to do their own research, interpretation, and due diligence. Please see REEF’s COVID-19 Considerations and Vaccine Policies section in our REEF Field Survey Trips Policies page for more information.
