Hi!
I am a new diver. I really enjoy identifing fish. I would like to know if there is class that exist to learn about fish... what the best way to learn before my next dive trip?
The ree web site talk about " Introduction to Fishwatching course". Where is that course?
Thanks inadvance for your advice.
Ways to learn Fish ID
You have several resources available to you.
First, check at your local REEF Field Station to see if they have a class coming up. Field Stations often teach the Intro to Fishwatching course or can point you in the right direction to someone who does. You can find a listing of Field Stations under the Resources>Field Stations section on www.REEF.org
Another great way to learn your fish if you live (or plan on diving) in the Tropical Western Atlantic area (Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean) is to get yourself a copy of the home study DVD. You can get a copy of it in the REEF online store here:

Give those a shot and don't hesitate to let us know if you need some more ideas.
